Earth Day Festival

April 23 @ 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Free

Earth Day Festival will be an exciting downtown-wide event, spanning from City Center Park, to the Downtown Gazebo, to the Fayette County Library, to Southern Conservation Trust. At each city location, you will see sustainable vendors and crafters, as well as a plant sale from Art of Landscaping, fresh markets featuring farmers markets (including a Liberty Tech 4th grade class selling their class-grown garden veggies)! Live music and multiple food trucks and tasty treats will be at each location along with our favorite local breweries and growler beer store. The most exciting part of the day will be watching the various eco- demonstrations from Fayette County High, Whitewater High, Liberty Tech Charter elementary and middle school. Prepare to be blown away by these amazing students showing off their incredible projects featuring a STEAM powered bus, hydroponically grown vegetables, and recycled plastic art projects focused on how plastics affect animals. You will know our future is in great hands with kids who are this intelligent and empowered about our Earth! Don’t forget to stop at our Outdoor Wellness & Fitness area where we have a rock wall plus free pop-in fitness classes from local gyms, including meditation and boot camps to help us improve our mental and physical self!

In the spirit of Earth Day, please consider walking, biking, or carpooling to this event. Can’t wait to see everyone!
